We're living in a time which requires from each individual or company, to adapt in thinking and acting.

Old and established behavioral patterns do not work anymore. Changes in our environment require from us to acquire new knowledge, that enables growth as on the individual level as on the organization level.

ABUCO, a private nonprofit educational and research institute, is set up to carry out education and research activities in various professional and scientific fields.

The name ABUCO consists of the first letters of Slovene words: Activities for the Enrichment of Learning and Integrated Literacy, which also describe the activity and purpose of the institution.

The purpose of the institute is:
- linking experts from different professional and scientific fields and supporting scientific research work,
- transferring theoretical and expert knowledge, experiences, methods and technologies into the practice, and developing creative applicative solutions and methodologies related to the current issues and trends in the society,
- support for users of services in the administrative procedures and cooperation with related organizations and authorities,
- promotion of the educational, scientific and research activities of the institute by issuing publications, the organization of Summer schools and seminars for the general public.
